Seed Systems Development
The Seed Multiplication project is public-private initiative, launched in partnership with The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, through its premier research agency SLARI. The aim is to strengthen Sierra Leone's seed systems through a private sector led seed multiplication and commercialization.
The project produces foundation and certified seeds that improve yields, increase farmers' productivity, and strengthen Sierra Leone's national seed system. By ensuring farmers have access to quality seeds and planting materials, the project contributes directly to increased food production and national food security.
